Ben Stapleton, Executive Director, USGBC-LA
Ben Stapleton is a passionate, articulate and engaging leader. He's also a genuinely good human being. I’m glad to call him both colleague and friend!
Ben is recognized for his deep experience in innovation, real estate and technology and is widely known as a sustainability leader. He's launched and managed the La Kretz Innovation Campus in Downtown Los Angeles, helping it become an iconic green building for the City of Los Angeles. He’s held the positions of Managing Director of the LA Better Buildings Challenge and Vice President & Cleantech Practice Group Lead at JLL. He's served on the boards of LA Bioscience Hub and USGBC-LA. He believes green buildings are the foundation of what we need to create a truly sustainable society and he puts his beliefs into practice every day in his role with USGBC-LA.
I've had the great pleasure of engaging with Ben on a range of topics relating to our planet and how architecture can promote sustainability and resilience. Recently, Ben and I met and spoke about the work we both do and the ways modern architecture, in particular, is important to our present and our future.
